Sheila Smith

Studio Coordinator

Sheila is Lighthouse’s “Starheart”. Like the Green Lantern’s emerald light, she brings every project positive energy and gives our team the ability to fly sourced by her sheer will & determination. Sheila’s creative journey began when she went away to college at the age of 16! With her professional hero, Julie Dash (Director of Daughters of the Dust) inspiring her to soar, she received her 1st B.A. in Photography from Mary Baldwin College & her 2nd B.A. in Film Studies from UNCW.

With a love for fashion, collecting vinyl and mentally styling every room she enters, Sheila set her eyes on “joining a group of collaborative creatives that create stories that reflect the world we live in.” Lighthouse is honored to be this creative home for Sheila. As our Studio Coordinator, Sheila assists with the organization of our productions and is one of our Welcome Ambassadors that ensure that every guest that enters, calls, emails our studio feels taken care of!

Living her life by the motto of “Depth over Distance”, this adventurous, history buff, fashonista has the power to create a strong foundation wherever she lands. Shine bright Sheila Smith!
